With the end of the football and volleyball season, we enter into winter ball season and are excited to see what is in store for both boys and girls varsity basketball this season. After an amazing 2022/2023 season from the Rattler boys varsity, that included a deep playoff run, they look to replicate that same success and even succeed it.
The girls varsity team on the other hand had an underwhelming season that ended with a losing record in both district and overall. Both teams look to come back stronger than last year and dominate against their opponents.
At the start of the season, the boys varsity team is 6-3 and the girls team is 7-1. These are great starts for both teams and the fans can’t wait to see more of this success throughout the year! As for the girls team, this is a huge improvement from last year and a step in the right direction for Coach Ervin and his coaching staff.
As for the boys, this is also a strong start, and the fans all wait in anticipation to see if Coach Dan Miller can lead his team into the playoffs and hopefully even a state championship. This also begs the question, can history repeat itself? Without some key players from last year including Kaden Gumbs, Jayven Cofer, and Malik Presley can the Rattler Boys compete at the same level and repeat last year’s success?
With that all said, the Rattler fans are on the edge of their seats to see what this season has in store for them and they will continue to root for both teams and wish them the best of luck.
This also begs the question, can history really repeat itself?
